Tour the interior of the building

Our tour of the exterior of Trinity Church begins with the traditional front view of the building from Chestnut Street.

Located just to the left of the portico and main entrance into the church narthex, the doors beneath the porte-cochere have become the predominant entrance into the building.  They lead into the Gathering Space that has become a center for social interaction since its completion in 2001.  The Peace Garden in the foreground and the the sculpture of "The Good Shepherd" just to the right of the doors are shown in detail below.

Trinity's Peace Garden

The Peace Pole says
"May Peace Prevail on Earth" in four languages - English, Spanish, Chinese and Russian.  The Peace Pole was erected in memory of the late Betty Hoaglund, wife of our former pastor, the late Alan Hoaglund, and a very dedicated peace advocate.  The current setting for the Peace Pole was the work of Christopher Hartmann as an Eagle Scout project.

"The Good Shepherd"

A sculpture in Indiana limestone completed by the late Alois Lidauer of Salzburg, Austria in 1974.

Click on the photograph for more information about "The Good Shepherd".
