We welcome you to the education and learning opportunities at Trinity.  In addition to the classes that meet regularly as shown below, there are a variety of special topics and learning opportunities that occur throughout the year.

The last Sunday for the Church School year was June 8.  Classes for adults will continue to meet over the summer.

Join up, Mateys, for The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything!

This year’s theme is based on the Veggie Tales characters (and film), The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything! We need lots of children to participate and lots of volunteers (youth and adults) to make the week a success. Sign-up will be in the Gathering Space soon. Worship and Learning at Trinity - Summer 2008

A brochure about the worship and learning experiences at Trinity for the summer of 2008 is available in the Gathering Space and the church office, giving service times, summer opportunities in learning ministry, and other church activities for the season. The next series of Affirmation of Faith classes for inquirers and those seeking to join Trinity will be held in 2008 on September 14, 21, 28, October 5, 12, 19 and receive new members on October 26.

Thursday Morning Bible Study with Pastor Hardy

Meets from September through May @ 9:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall on most Thursdays.


 
Wednesday evening Interactive Bible Study

Meets September through May at 6:45 p.m. in Room 239.

This lay led-Bible Study is open to persons interested in the opportunity to freely discuss and challenge ideas of faith, based on Biblical text and respected interpretation. We continue to study the Gospel of John. Contact Becky Enney or Judy Hunter, group facilitators, through the church office if you are interested, or just come Wednesday evenings!

Women's Bible Study

Meets on Wednesdays mornings in the Fall and Winter.  The sessions run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Babysitting is available.  Contact Bert Weaver, Judy Trissler or Christopher Couch through the church office (737-8635) for questions.  The next study will be "There Is A Season: Experiencing Contentment In Every Season Of Life" with Laurie Cole. The 11 session series will begin on Wednesday, September 10 and will end on November 19.

Men's Bible Study

Meets on two Tuesday mornings each month from September through May from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Brothers Diner off Route 15 south in Mechanicsburg.  For 2007-2008, the focus will be on the Book of Acts.

Men's Small Group Bible Study

The Men’s Small Group meets in the Library each Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM for one hour.  This is an open discussion group that is currently doing a Bible study using the Lutheran Men in Mission Edition of the Serendipity Bible for Personal and Small Group Study.  The title of their current study is Accountability: Beyond Football and the Weather.  Contact George Enney at 737-4115 (or georgebeckyenney@yahoo.com) for information.

Men's Third Saturday

The group, "Men's Third Saturday", meets on the third Saturday of every month (hence the name!), September to May, to discuss what it means to be a Lutheran.  All men are welcome and there is no need to sign up.  The group meets in the church library at 8:30 a.m. for a light breakfast.  The discussion starts at 9:00 and ends by 10:00.

Sup and Study

Sup and Study happens seasonally over five
Wednesday evenings.  They start with a celebration of bounty with catered suppers that are followed by unique class offerings.  Arrive in the Gathering Space at 5:30 p.m. for the meal.  The class offerings are over by 7:30 p.m. Sup and Study is for all church family and friends.  The next Sup and Study series will be in the autumn of 2008.
