Trinity Preschool Playgroup
Our Program

2-1/2 YEAR OLDS3 YEAR OLDS4 YEAR OLDS

Trinity Preschool Playgroup was established in 1977 for the purpose of providing a place for children 2-5 to come and play together one day a week.  From that modest beginning we have expanded and refined our program.

Trinity Preschool Playgroup has a fine staff of teachers and assistant teachers who are experienced in Early Childhood Education.  We welcome you to the classroom and appreciate any enrichment you wish to provide the children.  If you have a special hobby or talent and wish to share with the children, please let us know.

Most of what we do may look to the adult eye like play, as indeed it is.  Play is the groundwork for all early learning.  Children play, they discover, and they LEARN!

Activities

Activities in each classroom are geared to the age and abilities of each child.  The children have the opportunity to enjoy:

Arts and Crafts    Math/Manipulatives
Fingerplays
Story Telling
Dramatic Play

Science
Library
Games
Field Trips
And so much more...

Objectives

The staff at Trinity Preschool Playgroup is concerned with the total development of each child.  Many studies have confirmed the theory that the best way to meet the individual needs of each child is to provide a program that provides a variety of learning experiences.  We use a multidimensional approach to learning which we hope will result in the maximum development of each child.

It is our hope that by participating in a preschool experience children will gain:

  • a positive view of self
  • the ability the interact with others
  • the ability to share
  • the ability to take direction from an adult other than a parent
  • the ability to accept new situations and ideas
  • the ability to act independently
  • problem solving skills
  • the desire to learn
  • development in large and small motor skills
  • an appreciation for books and music
