What Is God

 The 3G Symbols
around the church remind us of our Stewardship Theme again this
year – OUR 3G NETWORK: GOD.
GIFTS. GRATITUDE. Our GOD is
the God of all creation from whom we receive all things, all
talents, everything that is made. In the creation story we
hear, again and again, that “God said it was good.” All of it.
Including us. These GIFTS are worthy of our thanks and
praise because we have not done a thing to earn them. They are
part and parcel of God’s grace for each of us, and we know them
in abundance. Therefore, we offer our GRATITUDE to the
maker of all things and the giver of all good gifts.
So, it is time, once again, for us to examine our lives and to
demonstrate the gratefulness we have for all the gifts God has
given us. Trinity Lutheran is a faithful witness to the Gospel
of Jesus Christ. We enjoy many gifts, blessings and graces,
making us a leadership church in the ELCA. We stand among the
top 1% of congregations in size, mission support and worship
attendance. But with that honor comes responsibility – to be
generous witnesses to the love we know from God; to be faithful
servants in the use of our gifts in service to the community and
larger world; to be humble stewards of the goodness we know.
It
is our hope that you will prayerfully consider the gifts God has
given you and respond with generous gratitude. If you haven’t
already, please take a moment to complete an Estimate of Giving
form (even if you are in the eGiving program.). You may mail in
your response or bring it to any of our worship services in the
weeks ahead.
