Women of
Trinity (WOT) is an organization of women of the church, an
affiliate of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America (WELCA).
The circles (groups) meet monthly in October, November,
January, February, March, and April to study a designated
program.
General Meetings are held in September, December, and May and
usually consist of a dessert or meal and a program. All women of
the congregation are invited.
The WOT are involved in congregational as well as community and
worldwide concerns. Our Special Concerns are collecting
donations for Blanket Sunday, hats, scarves and mittens,
Campbell canned food labels, and materials for Lutheran World Relief
School Kits. We also have a liaison
for activities at Frey Village and our Project Sewing creates
many beautiful quilts that are distributed throughout the world.
Members of the congregation are served in a variety of ways.
Cards are sent to express messages of get-well, sympathy, new
births, and staff birthdays. Our At-Home Ministry is conducted
for those who are homebound or in retirement or nursing homes.
Cookies and poinsettias are provided at Christmas and lilies at
Easter for these members. We host formal coffees for each new
member class, the confirmation class, and other occasions.
The importance of prayer in our lives is recognized by our
members in the Intercessory Prayer Group who meet to pray for
our fellow congregation members, and the 24-Hour Prayer Group
who pray in response to special requests for members in crisis.
All women of Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran Church are members of Women of
Trinity and are welcomed and encouraged to become involved in
whatever activity is meaningful to them.
