We are taking our popular VBS program on the road!

Join us this summer for Trinity VBS in Guatemala or stay back in PA and be a part of the “Home Team!”

VBS in Guatemala

Trinity is looking for teens, college students, professionals, retirees, and everyone in between to work with the beautiful children of the children’s homes (Hogar Miguel Magone and Hogar Maria Auxiliadora) and the newly built girl’s school, Hope Academy. Some Spanish speaking ability is helpful but not required. Most important is helping hands, open hearts and a willingness to go with the flow! All participants from Trinity must be at least 13 years of age and able to walk 1 mile without assistance.

Tree 4 Hope

This trip will be coordinated through the Tree 4 Hope organization.  Tree 4 Hope is committed to providing a bright future of long-term hope for children, elders, and their families in Guatemala and around the world, focusing on education, health, and mental wellness. They design their projects to meet basic needs, empower local communities, build relationships, promote cultural exchange, and inspire youth. Visit their website at tree4hope.org to learn more.

Where will we serve?

We are planning to spend our mornings running a simplified version of VBS at Hope Academy. In the afternoon we will bring some of the music, games, and crafts to the children at the hogars (homes). Photo of Hogar Miguel Magone

Where will we stay?

Our home base for the trip is the beautiful and historic city of Antigua. We will support the local economy by staying in a charming hotel and dining for breakfast and dinner in another hotel a short walk away. Photo of our hotel in Antigua

Will we have a guide?

We will be in excellent care during our time in Guatemala. The Tree4Hope trip Coordinator, Susan Kern, will manage all aspects of local logistics prior to our arrival including meals, lodging, and transportation. Photo of Susan with local children
