Ready to reconnect? Join us at Ikea Church!

Sundays at 10 am, Sept. 12 - Oct. 10

All ages! No need to register! Reconnect with your Trinity family each week: people bingo, scavenger hunts, sing-a-longs, prayers, service activities, and more! Let’s build a church together as we restart our Trinity lives congregation-wide!

Sept. 12 – Building a Church Together (Mark 8:27-38).  Our Church is not just the building, but the people! We will kick off Ikea Church by getting to know each other in new ways with a fun game of People Bingo. Each of us will also have the opportunity to make our own name tag to wear every time we come to church. You will also get to meet Moses Kavishe, our new Director of Faith Formation, and to hear wonderful music from FaithX! Don’t miss it!

Sept. 19 – Serving and Welcoming (Mark 9:30-37). Members of Trinity have always been extremely gracious toward visitors and members of our community and the world. This week we will work together to pack personal care kits for Lutheran World Relief. Our goal is to pack 250 kits. In order to reach this goal, we are asking folks to donate items prior to Sept. 19. Click here to see the needed items and to sign up! Also on this date, we will be painting rocks to share with members of our community to brighten their day and remind them of God’s love.

Sept. 26 – Praying and Forgiving (Mark 9:38-50). Prayer and forgiveness are two cornerstones of our religious lives. Yet so many of us are unsure of ourselves when it comes to prayer, and often we struggle with forgiveness. Join us this day as we move through a variety of stations to help strengthen our prayer life and remind ourselves that God forgives us all.

Oct. 3 – Building Relationships (Mark 10:2-16). What better way to get to know someone than a little friendly competition! Folks will be encouraged to team up with people they may not know and compete to see who can be the first to finish a challenge. Can’t get around really well? No worries, we have options for everyone.

Oct. 10 – Giving and Following (10:17-31). As followers of Jesus, we are all called to share our time and talents. Many of us have taken some steps back in the last year and a half. But now is your chance to get re-engaged! Find out how you can fit in at Trinity. How can you use your talents to help others learn about Jesus? Where is your passion calling you?

Personal Care Kits

Learn more about this project!

Soap, towels, toothbrushes and combs. These simple gifts improve the standard of living for people around the world. In the Andes, these kits are helping dairy farmers practice proper hygiene and, in turn, improve their dairy products through sanitary milking practices. We can’t control when disasters strike and we can’t end poverty overnight. But there are things we can do now to help people around the world reach their full potential. Will you help us?

Our goal is to assemble 250 kits on September 19 during our Ikea Church. Items for these kits may be dropped off at the church prior to Sept. 19. Each kit includes 1 lightweight bath-sized towel (guidelines are 27″x52″ max, 20″x40″ min, dark colors preferred), 2-3 bars of soap (bath-sized), 1 adult toothbrush (individually packaged), 1 sturdy comb, and 1 metal nail clippers.
