Arts Team Report – Submitted by Mary Haar Next meeting on TBD. The last two months have been busy with activities for the Arts.
The concert that was held at Dillsburg at the beginning of November was a success with over 200 people in attendance. I would like to thank Holly and Bob Frymoyer, Steve Kauffman, and Joe Hunter for their assistance.
For December, I am looking forward to Christmas at Trinity this weekend and hosting the reception. All of the excitement for the big reception would not be able to take place without the help of Steve Kauffman and him setting the tables up in Fellowship Hall and the wonderful help and talents of the kitchen crew. I have been ordering supplies and finalizing details for the reception. I plan to send an email to Steve Kauffman and Joe Hunter later today about final details.
December 22 will be the caroling sing along at the Dillsburg campus. Unfortunately, due to a prior obligation, I am unable to attend the concert. I have informed Bob Frymoyer and Steve Kauffman I will be decorating the narthex of the church beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 21. I have requested the 5 bistro tables to be set up again with the white table cloths. I will be able to decorate the narthex in less than an hour.
This year has been the first year we have received money from the Gordon Fry Estate, and it has been a blessing. I would like to thank Daryl Ackerman for his compilation of the spreadsheet with the figures from this year. Bob Frymoyer, Finance Committee Chair, Tim Koch, and I met in November to discuss the request for the Fry allocation for 2025. I am preparing the letter to be sent to them, and we are hoping the letter will be sent at the end of December. The new year for the Fry allocation does not commence until March. We are very thankful for the money we are getting from this foundation and are looking forward to expanding our ministries in 2025.
