Maine Seacoast Mission Trip – June 2019

In June 2019, members of Trinity ventured to Cherryfield, Maine for our tenth annual mission trip to work with the Housing Rehabilitation Program of the Maine Seacoast Mission. The team works on houses or mobile homes for people that do not have the resources to improve the houses themselves. (See pictures)

Keepsake Christmas event – November 30, 2018

On November 30, adults and children of all ages came together to hear a special telling of the Christmas story and create a Keepsake Nativity scene that they can cherish year after year! Thank you to all who shared this special evening with us. (See pictures)

Thanks & Giving event – November 18, 2018

On Sunday, November 18, 2018, Trinity held its annual Thanks & Giving event where we share from our abundance as our way of giving thanks to God for all His wonderful gifts.

Results of Thanks & Giving:

* Hundreds of pounds of turkey roasted and carved
* Thanksgiving cards drawn/decorated by Trinity kids
* Almost 300 pounds of non-perishable food collected and taken to New Hope Ministry
* 230 meals packaged and delivered to elderly Trinity members and members of our surrounding communities
* 18 meals taken to Susquehanna Safe Harbor homeless shelter
* All remaining food delivered to Bethesda Mission

YG (Youth Group) Pasta Night – October 28, 2018

On October 21, 2018 Trinity’s YG (Youth Group) held their Pasta Night! All of the proceeds will go toward the Senior High Mission trip in the summer of 2019. (See pictures)

Pastor Liz Frey’s Installation Service – October 21, 2018

October 21 marked a special day at Trinity. In a special worship service, Rev. Elizabeth E. Frey was officially installed as an Associate Pastor and Ministry Director for Engagement at Trinity. Our congregation is blessed to have Pastor Liz as a part of our family. (See pictures)

Oktoberfest – October 14, 2018

October 14 was Oktoberfest at Trinity! A great time – food (of course – we’re Lutherans), costume parade, apple pie contest (judged by our very unbiased pastors) and finally, the chicken dance. It was a blast enjoyed by all. (See pictures)

Blessing of the Animals – October 6, 2018

Francis of Assisi, renewer of the church, was the son of a wealthy cloth merchant. In a public confrontation with his father, he renounced his wealth and future inheritance and devoted himself to serving the poor. Francis had a spirit of gladness and gratitude for all of God’s creation. This commemoration has been a traditional time to bless pets and animals, creatures Francis called his brothers and sisters. Summer Sundae Concert – August 26, 2018

On Sunday, August 26, a large crowd gathered to enjoy our end of summer Summer Sundae Concert – delicious ice cream sundaes, wonderful fellowship and inspiring music by Trinity’s own FaithX praise band. (See pictures)

Blessing of the Backpacks – August 2018

At all services on August 25-26, children wore their backpacks to the children’s message and received a special blessing as the new school year was beginning! (See pictures)

2018 Vacation Bible School

In July 2018, over 220 kids and 100 volunteers became “Shipwrecked” to learn that Jesus Rescues! It was a wonderful week of fun, games and learning about Jesus! Thank you to all who made this week possible.  We are looking forward to seeing you next summer. (See pictures)

Nancy Martin Retirement (and birthday) Celebration

On Sunday, June 3, friends, family, current and former co-workers, and members of the congregation joined together to celebrate the retirement of Nancy Martin. It was a lovely day filled with good food, some fun laughs and a few tears. Nancy will be missed in her role as Director of Administration, but will remain an active and dedicated member of our congregation. Thank you, Nancy, for all that you have done for Trinity all of these years. (See pictures)

Lower Susquehanna Synod Day of Feeding

On June 2, 2018, members of Trinity participated in the Lower Susquehanna Synod’s food packing event as part of the Day of Feeding the day after the Synod Assembly. In all, more than 465 volunteers from 52 churches packed 150,390 meals to be sent to Haiti. (See pictures)

Pastor Elizabeth Frey Ordination – June 1, 2018

Trinity’s new associate pastor, Elizabeth Frey, was ordained at the Lower Susquehanna Synod Assembly on June 1, 2018. Trinity’s Chancel Choir participated in the service which was attended by a number of people from the congregation. We welcome Pastor Liz and look forward to the start of her call at Trinity on June 24! (See pictures)

Choir Appreciation Sunday – May 6, 2018 

Each spring we celebrate Choir Appreciation Sunday to recognize and thank all of the wonderful musicians and singers who share their talents with our congregation.  This year we heard selections by the brass ensemble, organ and timpani along with beautiful music from our vocal choirs (Chancel, Matins, Junior and Cherub.) (See pictures)

Happy 120th Birthday, Trinity! 

On April 24, 1898, 36 members signed the original charter of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Camp Hill. While the church has changed in many ways since 1898, the values with which we began have always remained the same. 6th Annual Chili Cook Off – January 21, 2018

Good food, fun and fellowship was had by everyone who attended the 6th Annual Trinity Chili Cook Off. We had 20 chili makers and 10 cornbread bakers!  (See pictures)

2017 – 2018 Trinity Concert Series

Martin Luther said, “Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.”

In 2017 – 2018 our Trinity concert series was proud to welcome Seraph Brass, an all-female brass ensemble, and the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants for the first time to our Series. As we celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, we will celebrate with a multimedia presentation of art and song through the ages led by choir and orchestra. Trinity on the Run

Trinity on the Run, is our very own running and walking group. We meet every Saturday (year round) at 8:20 am in the Trinity Church parking lot. We start with a devotion and then walk or run together (lots of different paces and speeds) for 30 minutes and end up at Cornerstone Coffeehouse for coffee (or breakfast) and socializing. We’re a multi-generational group – and everyone is welcome to join us any time.
