What are Faith Connections?

Faith Connections are informal, interactive groups designed to deepen your relationship with God and others.  Our hope is that by participating you will become UNITED with God and one another, and feel EMPOWERED to WORSHIP, CONNECT, and SERVE here at Trinity and in the world. All groups are open to new participants, and we encourage you to join at any time.

All Ages are Welcome!

We have opportunities for all ages, preschool through adult. You will notice that many of our current opportunities are available virtually, with limited in-person programs. Please understand that we are doing our best to offer as much as we can in a safe and responsible manner. We will continue to monitor the circumstances and adjust our plans accordingly.

Children and Youth

All programs will begin on Sunday, October 4.

Frolic Storybooks
Preschool – Kindergarten

This wonderful program allows parents and young children to build their faith together through short stories and simple, fun activities. Each week will include a storybook read aloud by one of our fabulous Trinity volunteers, as well as downloadable activities and coloring pages. You and your child will love listening to these stories together and learning about God’s love through play. Videos and activities will be posted online weekly. Feel free to use these materials however they fit into your family schedule.

Faith Connect Kids!
Grades 1 – 5

Join us this school year as we learn all about God’s love and blessings in our life. Everything we teach in the 252 Kids Curriculum is based on one of the three basic but powerful truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52. I need to make the wise choice. I can trust God no matter what. I should treat others the way I want to be treated. We will offer two options for elementary students:

“DIY at Home” Sunday School – Each week, you and your student will be able to watch our video lesson and then complete the downloadable activities and discussions. All materials will be available online. Your family can complete these whenever it suits your schedule.

“Zoom” Sunday School – Each Sunday morning at 9 am, we will offer a 30-minute version of our regular in-person Sunday School on Zoom. Children will begin with a video lesson and will then spend approximately 20 minutes with their small group. In the small group session, they will have fun activities and discussions about the lesson for the week. These Zoom groups will be led by our trusted Trinity volunteers.

Middle School Connect
Grades 6 – 8

This year, our middle school kids will be using the XP3 Curriculum from our friends at Orange. XP3 represents the 3 relationships mentioned in the greatest commandment: God, self, others. Everything we do is organized through these 3 relationships. Specifically, we want students to experience (1) a love for God that will inspire deeper faith, (2) a love for themselves that will lead to wiser choices, and (3) a love for others that will build stronger relationships. There are two options for middle school students:

“DIY At Home” Sunday School – Each week, you and your student will be able to watch our video lesson and then complete the downloadable activities and discussions. All materials will be available online. Your family can complete these whenever it suits your schedule.

“Zoom” Sunday School – Each Sunday morning at 9:00, we will offer a 30-minute Zoom version of our regular in-person Sunday School. Your child will begin with a video lesson and then move on to fun activities and great group discussions about the lessons for the week. These Zoom groups will be led by our trusted Trinity volunteers.

Please note: At this time, our 8th grade students will participate in the regular middle school Sunday School program. We are still trying to work through what Confirmation will look like during this time. We will keep you posted as we make further decisions.

Friends of Jesus (F.O.J.)
Grades 9 – 12

We are bringing a new curriculum to our F.O.J. group this year – XP3. We want students to experience a love for God that will inspire deeper faith, a love for themselves that will lead to wiser choices, and a love for others that will build stronger relationships.  Be prepared for laid-back sharing that features great discussion topics, cool conversations, and fun activities. We will offer two options for senior high students:

“DIY At Home” Sunday School – Each week, you and your student will be able to watch our video lesson and then complete the downloadable activities and discussions. All materials will be available online. Your family can complete these whenever it fits into your schedule.

“Zoom” Sunday School – Each Sunday morning at 9:00, we will offer a 30-minute Zoom version of our regular in-person Sunday School. Students will begin with a video lesson and then move on to fun activities and great group discussions about the lessons for the week. Wednesday Connect
Wednesdays, Oct. 7, 14, 21, and 28
7:00 pm (In-person) or via Zoom (4 pm or 8 pm)

We’re excited to announce that Wednesday Connect will be returning this fall. Each week’s session will begin with a video presentation, followed by small group discussions. Due to the current circumstances, there will be no meals and no nursery or childcare. We will meet together in person at 7:00 pm, or you may opt to join one of our Zoom groups that will meet at 4 pm and 8 pm.

This season, we’ll be learning and growing together using a series called DIVIDED. Like most of us, you were likely taught at a young age to “get along” with the people around you. As we get older, however, we realize that this is often easier said than done. We have disagreements about many things, but most notably when it comes to politics, we struggle to get along with acquaintances, friends, and even family members who hold political beliefs that are different from our own. In this series, as we see the way that Jesus navigated the difficult world of politics in His day, we’ll discover what it looks like to choose people over politics no matter what, even when we disagree.
